Hannah Metz is everyone's girl crush. When you first meet her, it's hard not to be intimidated by her talent, beauty and creativity, but she soon reveals her goofy side, and the intimidation slips away as she keeps you laughing for hours. Hannah is one half of The Loved One, a company she started with her partner Elvia Lahman. The two ladies run a vintage shop in Padasena and also design a line of original, vintage-inspired lingerie. We visited Hannah in the Brooklyn apartment she shares with her husband, artist Landon Metz, and their two cats. Take a peek at Hannah's favorite vintage finds and get her insider tips on vintage shopping.

femme du jour: Tina Chow
This week we're enamored with the style of the one and only Tina Chow. Tina Chow was a model and style icon during the 1980s. A member of the NYC elite, she was close friends with Andy Warhol, Manolo Blahnik and Jean Michel Basquiat. Tina was born Bettina Louise Lutz, daughter of a German father and Japanese mother. In 1972, she married Michael Chow, owner of the Mr. Chow restaurant chain. She and Michael were among NYC's biggest celebrities, andwhere she rubbed elbows with many artists and creatives. Tragically, Tina died in 1992 at the age of 41. Tina's grace and completely original look continue to inspire us.

Closet Series Volume 2: Keiko Lynn Groves
We love Keiko Lynn, (who doesn't) and had the pleasure of venturing out to her home in Brooklyn to interview her on what inspires her, where she shops and why she loves NYC.
As the old adage says, you can tell a lot about someone by what they wear and what's in their closet. Check out Keiko's below as she stars in our latest installment of the Seychelles Dream Closet series.

Closet Visit + Jeana Sohn
Wouldn’t it be nice to take a peek into the closets of stylish women?
Artist Jeana Sohn does just that with her website Closet Visit, taking us into a world of beauty and inspiration. Founded in 2010, Jeana photographs the closets (and the things that go in them) of fashionable women all over Los Angeles . There are inspirational outfits, gorgeous designer pieces, amazing vintage finds, sparkling jewels, and fabulous shoes to be seen. Included with the beautiful photos are interviews about style, favorites, and some fashion advice. Jeana Sohn along with Claire Cottrell also introduced two short films this year for Closet Visit that are simply breathtaking. Watch them below, and once you have fallen in love with the beauty of the films, wander over here to start some closet visiting. And, when you are done with that, check out Jeana's blog, art site, and photography site for some more loveliness.

Style Icon: Jean Barthet
French milliner Jean Barthet rose to the height of fashion in the 1950s and 1960s as the go-to source for innovative accessories. Designing in the traditional manner of great French hat makers, Barthet embellished his creations with trimmings that reflected his own style and imagination, including velvet ribbons and bows. He has dressed the heads of fashion's most iconic women, Brigit Bardot, Catherine Deneuve and Sophia Loren, to name a few. We tip our hats to this style innovator.

new music we love: Lana Del Rey
The internet is just buzzing about Lana Del Rey, and we can see why. Lana Del Rey is actually the alias of Brooklyn-based musician Lizzy Grant. Her songs are sexy and moody, reminding us of our favorite songstresses of the past like Fiona Apple, Cat Power and Tori Amos.

The video for her newest single, Video Games, is a collection of pop cultural images that will leave you feeing melancholy and nostalgic. Check it out below, we have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot more of Lana Del Rey in the future.

retail therapy: Stella Dallas
One day of our NY Fashion Week trip was spent wandering Williamsburg, where we had been told by multiple friends that an absolute must stop is Stella Dallas. This store did not disappoint, it is filled to the brim with vintage Americana. Everything from American flags to wool blankets, this is the place to go for beautiful vintage home goods. And if you're in the area be sure to stop in next door at 10 Ft. Single, where the owners of Stella Dallas have accumulated the best in vintage clothing, jewelry and accessories.

A Match Made in Heaven
We were so pleased to have Hannah at The Loved One use our shoes in her most recent photoshoot. Look how lovely Point of No Return and Care to Dance look paired with her impeccably styled vintage items. We had the pleasure of meeting up with Hannah in NYC and we can assure you, not only is she a talented designer and photographer, but she's a beauty and just a joy to spend time with. Shop The Loved One's vintage collection here, and also check out their line of original, vintage-inspired lingerie over here.

TLO
Over the weekend we had the pleasure of meeting, Elvia, one of the creative designers behind The Loved One. It was love at first sight when we first discovered the vintage-inspired lingerie line, here. Needless to say, when we heard they were having a pop-up shop at Space 15 Twenty we knew we had to see the collection in person! Not to mention, we were dying to shop through their pretty vintage goodies! Elvia was a doll, we are hoping to meet her partner, Hannah, in New York and are more then excited about a possible collaboration with this brand we adore!
See more photos and continue reading about the pop-up shop on Hannah's blog here.

vivre l'amour all February!
Cinefamily is a beloved Los Angeles gem. Hosted at the Silent Movie Theater on Fairfax in West Hollywood, they are a refuge for independent and foreign films. For the month of February, they "take you to the most romantic place in the world: France, with seven swooning, swirling and smoldering film classics." Featuring archival 35mm prints, rare screenings, and a tribute night to Brigitte Bardot, plus there are djs spinning records before and after all the films.
This Thursday don't miss the double-feature of French New Wave classic Jules et Jim, followed by Amelie. In the meantime, check out the trailer for the Vivre L'Amour film to get in the mood for love.
