Friday Finds: Bedroom Makeover

So with all the chaos going on at work, I felt the need to redo my bedroom. My room recently has become too cluttered and in need of a great redecoration/cleansing. I love shopping online and creating dream boards of items on my wish list. As you can tell...I definitely love bright bold colors and tons of patterns. I guess technically my room will always feel like chaos, at least its a colorful chaos :).

I know last weekend I was excited for the 3 day weekend with Memorial Day. But believe it or not I'm more excited today for the weekend to start. We've been playing catch up all week since we had a lovely Monday off. I spent the weekend in the lovely Zion National Park and soaked up the sights in my fave Sage sandals. This week was full of adorable pugs named Gracie, What Will They Say poodle smoking slippers, beautiful plum Finders Keepers and of course a cat ring.

Puppy Love

Yeah, yeah, we all know cats rule the internet. But we think it's time we give a little attention to the underdogs! (pun intended) For every Lil' Bub, Grumpy Cat and Maru there's a canine equivalent in Maddie, TrotterPup and Momo. In honor of (wo)man's best friend, we've created a collection of our favorite dog-inspired items, including Seychelles What Will They Say poodle loafers. Friday Finds: Memorial Weekend

Each year Memorial Weekend is the bookend holiday that marks the beginning of summer. Weekends are soon filled with BBQs, long days at the beach, lemonade out of mason jars  with cute straws and ice cream...lots of ice cream. 

One of our favorites ice cream places has to be Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams. The flavors her and her wonderful team come up with are to die for. To name a few of her amazing creations: Black Coffee, Brambleberry Crisp, Pistachio and Honey Mint and Cherry Lambic. Since her shop is in Ohio, we have to find alternatives. (Jeni's is sold at certain locations, *thankfully* you can find one near you here)

If you feel adventurous, Jenis also has a book for at home recipes! A fun way that we've discovered how to make ice cream is with this ice cream ball. It's perfect for kicking around while chatting around the BBQ, all while it churns your delicious treat. 

To top it all off we found the perfect All American star serving stand and in my opinion my fave no fuss ice cream scoop. Don't forget to show your patriotic stripes in our Lost Control wedges. 

Aside from the great time to spend with family and friends Memorial Day is a day to remember and give thanks to all the men and women who gave their lives in the service of this country.

Dreaming of Seychelles

With Memorial Weekend just around the corner, I've been stuck day dreaming of a the perfect getaway. 

If you were wondering, our company name comes from the ethereal Seychelles islands located in the Indian Ocean. Recently the Royals Prince William and Kate Middleton made this unknown island a star with their visit. It's easy to get lost in the beauty of the islands and its welcoming turquoise waters.

Doesn't this seem like a perfect mandatory company getaway? Seychelles ladies going to the Seychelles Islands? One can dream :)

Our week in Instagram

Happy Friday everyone :) we've had such a fun week on Instagram and we're really excited for this weekend! Here's a little recap of our week in photos. 

On Monday we chose our 3 winners for our Seychelles Weekenders contest. We love all the photos submitted it was so hard to pick just 3.  As you can see from our pictures, the A Beautiful Mess app made its wonderful debut on the itunes store and we snatched it up right away! All the hand drawn flourishes make our photos feel so personalized, Elsie and Emma from A Beautiful Mess did should be proud of their amazing app baby.

In case you haven't caught our news, we are now also on Trendabl. Trendabl is a new fashion sharing app that allows you to tag brands in your photos. It makes finding specific items much easier. For example you can choose the shoe category and even a color and it will pop up with all photos that match your search. We just love it! Make sure to follow us at seychellesshoes.

Lastly it looks like the sun is back out again for the weekend, just in time for our "Ramblin Ways" sandal (bottom right photo) to make an appearance.

All in the name of great fitting shoes! Our Queen Bee and Director of Product had a 'whatever it takes' moment while on the road to the airport in Dehli, India. 

Remembering we needed to size one of our FALL 2013 boots before departing for Hong Kong, they pulled over to the side of the road in 102 degrees and finished the process there. We'll do anything in the name of shoes.

Creature Care and Summer Love from Libby Story
