Nutella Rolls with Cream Cheese Frosting

Nutella makes the world go round. Fact.

Now that this has been established, we are drooling at even the mention of this rich sugary recipe for Nutella rolls with cream cheese frosting. We're not sure if we should be condemning our friends at Ruche for unleashing Pandora's wrath on us, or establishing that we are now forever indebted to them for the introduction. In either case, we can't wait to time how quickly it will take to consume every succulent drop of sugary goodness, and then attempt at beating the score when we do it all over again.

Ingredients:
Rolls:
2 cans Pillsbury Grands Biscuits
2 cups Nutella
Flour and Sugar for rolling

Cream Cheese Icing:
4oz Cream Cheese (softened)
1 tsp Vanilla
1 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar

Makes 16 rolls, Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Directions:
1. Lightly cover your surface with flour and sugar, then roll each biscuit out until it is flat and double in its original size.

2. Spread the Nutella on the flattened biscuits until they are completely covered.  The more Nutella, the better!

3. Roll up the flattened biscuits and cut them into three pieces.
4. Place the three cut pieces into the cupcake liners.

5. Bake for about 15 mins.  After they are done in the oven let them cool for about 5 mins before putting the icing on.

Health and Fitness: Portion Control

You get together with your girlfriends for brunch on Sunday and talk politics, men and weight. We can almost guarantee that happens regularly. Each girl takes a turn to wallow/celebrate and once everyone has taken a stand on the podium, they band together to discuss how/what/why this happened and how to fix it.

When it comes to weight loss, one of the biggest hardships for both men and women to get over is the ability to monitor what and how much they eat. Dieting and working out come hand-in-hand. Being able to measure out the correct proportions for your respective body type is imperative to getting closer to that body that you've always wanted. We found this great visual for the perfect proportions from Lauren Conrads blog the other day and wanted to share it with you. What do you think?  Does this help? We'd love to hear from you.

Recipe Idea: Pink Marshmallow Bouquet on Polka Dot Paper Straws

Have you ever wondered what a pinch of heaven may taste like? Okay so that's a little over the top, but we have a point we swear. We saw this recipe for a pink marshmallow bouquet on polka dot straws and felt like we were already floating in the clouds and hadn't even taken a bite of it yet. Please somebody try this immediately and send us a shot on Instagram or Twitter @SeychellesShoes. We promise to do the same.

Ingredients:
These Marshmallow Pops took under twenty minutes to make from start to finish and they turned out adorable! All you will need are: marshmallows, white chocolate, sprinkles (crushed graham cracker, coconut, etc.), popsicle sticks or paper straws and food coloring.
NoteBuy paper straws online on Amazon and specialty baking and crafting stores. Also try Bakeitpretty.com.
  1. First cut a small slit in the top of the marshmallows to allow you to insert your straw. If you skip this step you just might mash your marshmallows!

  1. Insert the straws or popsicle sticks and put them in the freezer for about 5-10 minutes. They do not take long to freeze and by doing this, the marshmallow is adhered more securely to the straw.
  1. Meanwhile, melt the white chocolate in the microwave on medium heat and stir every 30 seconds. White chocolate seems to burn a lot easier than regular chocolate so watch it closely! Add your food coloring if desired.
  1. Next up is the fun part: decorating! Dip the frozen marshmallows in the white chocolate. You will want to tap the excess white chocolate off. The frozen marshmallow will make the chocolate harden quickly so don’t wait too long before dipping them into the sprinkles.

A Wedding Story: Something Borrowed

Any celebration of love is a truly beautiful occasion, but weddings are especially wonderful. Aside from the glorious public ceremony of ardor where a dashing couple exchange eternal vows in front of the world, some of us love to gorge on Jordanian almonds and other succulent sweets. A night or day where you can, dance till you drop and admire the beautiful wardrobes of the guests, bride and groom. Let us also not forget, weddings provide a chance to indulge in our favorite exercise - shoe shopping! Tying the knot then becomes a celebration of many things, including the union of two sole mates.  We can only hope that you live a long happy life full of laughter and most of all, love.

Recipe Idea: Cucumber Cape Codder

Mondays are tough and sometimes you need that happy hour drink to pull you through to the weekend.  We found this easy to make recipe from Martha Stewart that we must try. The tart taste of lime juice mixed with cool cucumber is a recipe to combat any Monday blues. Try it out and let us know how it goes!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups grated English cucumber (about 1 cucumber), plus cucumber wedges, for garnish
  • 9 ounces vodka, chilled
  • 12 ounces cranberry juice (no sugar added)
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (from about 4 limes)
  • Ice, for serving

Directions

  1. Bring sugar and 1 cup water to a boil in a small pot. Reduce heat, and simmer, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, stir in grated cucumber, and let cool. Pour through a fine sieve into a bowl or large glass measuring cup, and discard solids (you should have 2 cups syrup). Cucumber syrup can be refrigerated up to 3 days.
  2. Combine cucumber syrup, vodka, and cranberry and lime juices in a 2-quart pitcher. Cocktail can be refrigerated up to 8 hours. Serve over ice, and garnish with cucumber wedges.

DIY Idea: Glitter Tote

The concept of a glittery tote alone piques our interest. A DIY version that can be made with affordable and easy to access goodies from your home keeps us wanting more.  Thanks to Lauren Conrad for sharing this awesome DIY find with us. If any of you try this at home, be sure to tweet us a shot with the hashtag #SeyGlitter. x
What you'll need:
  • 1 1/2 inch wide Scotch Duct Tape (in Hot Pink shown here, or the color or pattern of your choice) *We just couldn't say no to this hot pink tape, but know that this is a non-traditional way to get straight lines. You should opt for Scotch Blue tape for straight lines.
  • canvas tote (available at most craft stores)
  • fabric glitter glue
  • sponges for spreading glue (you can use your fingers too)
  • craft-grade glitter
  • scissors

First, you will need to stripe your bag with glitter. Here’s how:

  1. Tape off the top of the tote starting from the top stitched line of the bag. This will ensure that all of your stripes are straight.
  2. Continue to tape the entire front side of the tote, aligning each piece of tape with the next.
  3. Remove every other strip of tape. These spaces will be your glittery stripes! Be sure to save the strips of spare tape because you will need them later for the bow detail.
  4. Apply pea-sized dots of fabric glitter glue along each stripe of exposed fabric.
  5. Using your sponge, spread out the glue until it is evenly covering the exposed stripe of fabric.
  6. Sprinkle glitter over the glue. For best results, give it between 1-2 hours to dry before removing the tape strips. Repeat steps 4 through 6 until each exposed fabric strip is glittered!

  1. Cut two strips of Scotch Duct Tape in the color or pattern of your choice. The first strip should be 5 inches and the second should be 4 1/2 inches.
  2. Place the smaller piece of tape on to the larger piece. Be sure to center the smaller piece. Sticky sides should be facing.
  3. Fold over each end sealing off the end of the tape.
  4. Using your thumb and index finger, pinch the tape together at the center.
  5. Fold the tape back on each side (like an accordion) and continue to hold firmly with your thumb and index finger.
  6. Snip off a small strip of tape and wrap it around the center of the bow where you have been holding with your thumb and index finger. Now you have yourself a pretty little bow!
Once your glitter strips have dried completely, remove the tape and affix the tape bow using fabric glue or a pin. And voila—you have yourself a fabulous, sparkly new tote bag!

Get the Look: An Olympic Outfit

The 2012 London Olympics are here and they've been full of riveting athletic feats, dramatic successes and failures, and most importantly, hard bodies. The Olympics are not just about showcasing awesome new talent, blubbery outbursts of tears and sadness and the modern day Adonis we call Ryan Lochte.  Sure, we tune into the occasional women's gymnastics meet,  but it's our dedication to the U.S. men's swim team that could very well earn us our own medals. To keep us busy between commercials, we've put together an outfit post perfect for an Olympian. Who knows, you may meet your very own grillz-grinning Ryan Lochte soon?
